What offends Jesus, what wounds His Sacred Heart, is lack of confidence in Him.

Oh, then, when everything was dark, when the present was so painful and the future seemed even more gloomy to me, I closed my eyes and abandoned myself like a child in the arms of this Heavenly Father... We look at ourselves too much, we want to see and understand, we do not have enough confidence in Him who envelops us in His love.

When, with a truly filial confidence, we cast our faults into the consuming furnace of love, they will for certain be entirely consumed.

Unlike our friends in the world, He will never abandon us when we are troubled or distressed. Blessed is the one who truly loves Him and always keeps Him near.

We must enter continually more deeply into the Divine Being by means of recollection. ‘I press on’ cried St Paul (Phil. 3:14). Thus, every day we must go down deeper along the path of the abyss that is God, letting ourselves slide down the slope in a confidence that is full of love.

Souls are guarded jealously in the heart of God and what we think we sometimes understand of our soul is nonetheless always a fleeting reflection of that which will remain God's secret until the day in which everything will come to light. The hope in this future revelation gives me great joy.

My God, in spite of all my misereres and since, I will always hope in You. Even if You cast me into hell, I will still hope in You.

It's so simple to love. It's surrendering yourself to all His desires, just as Jesus surrendered Himself to those of the Father.

Continue to apply yourself with ever greater abandonment to the will of the Lord; this is the direct way to lose yourself in Him.

If He is my Father, and knows the present, the past and the future, why shall I not abandon myself to Him with the utmost confidence?

Do not worry...think of the God who is dwelling within you.

In tribulation immediately draw near to God with confidence, and you will receive strength, enlightenment, and instruction.
