For perfection as well as its reward does not consist in spiritual delights but in greater love and in deeds done with greater justice and truth.

Walk in Christ...that means to go out from self...in order to enter more deeply into Him at every moment; to enter so deeply that one is "rooted‟ in Him and may boldly challenge all events with the great cry, Who, then, shall separate us from the love of Christ?‟

It is love alone that gives worth to all things.

Since a double measure of bitterness must follow the doing of your own will, do not do it even though you remain in single bitterness.

The soul should trust in the goodness of God, which is greater than all the evils we are capable of.

To stand before the face of the living God that is our vocation. The holy prophet (Elijah) set us an example. He stood before God’s face because this was the eternal treasure for whose sake he gave up all earthly goods.

Who can lose confidence? For the Lord endured so much with me only because I desired and strove to have some place and time in order that He might be with me. Prayer is the door to favors as great as those He granted me.

This knowledge, when purer, is even at times the cause of darkness because it dispossesses the intellect of its customary lights, forms, and phantasies and effects a noticeable darkness.

Contemplation is perceived more frequently in the will under the form of love, than in the intellect under the form of knowledge.

Then Our Lord said: “Ah, my daughter, they are few who love me in truth; for if men loved me, I should not hide my secrets from them. Do you know what is to love me in truth? It is to admit everything to be a lie which is not pleasing unto me.”

We are miserable and fall at every step. We are children who don't even know how to talk. Why doesn't Jesus become angry with our falls that are caused by our ignorance and our weakness? Never allow discouragement to enter your heart.
