These times in which all structures of life on earth are tottering and changing, are also a period of struggle over eternal questions. For when the sensory delight and gratification coming from things are quenched, neither the devil, nor the world, nor sensuality has arms or power against the spirit.

In doubts, in temptations, where can I take refuge if Thou, O good Jesus, will not open Thy Heart to me? Take everything from me, but do not let me be deprived of Thee!

More courage I will need for sure,
But any pain will I endure,
Because it makes me like to you
And leads unto your kingdom too.
