If you are nothing, you must not forget that Jesus is all...think only of this uniquely lovable all.

Never complain of anyone, but turn the complaints against yourself; because if you do not succeed in doing what you long to do, how can you complain if others fail?

See that you are not suddenly saddened by the adversities of this world, for you do not know the good they bring, being ordained in the judgments of God for the everlasting joy of the elect.

Our good God ardently desires to give us the great treasure of His love; but He wants us to ask Him for it insistently, and to act in such a way that each work we perform will be a request for this love.

You must not set yourself up as a judge-that is God's right alone-your only mission is to be an angel of peace.

O you who do not dare draw near to Him, make the test and prove how good and generous is our most loving God!

After God places these three last kinds of good in the soul, he no longer remembers her former ugliness and sin, as he declares through Ezekiel [Ez. 18:22], for on account of these goods she is very agreeable to him. And once he has blotted out this sin and ugliness, he no longer reproaches her for it, or fails to impart more favors, since he never judges a thing twice [Na. 1:9].

There is no companionship which affords comfort to the soul that longs for God; indeed, until she finds Him everything causes greater solitude.

I repeat, it is necessary that your foundation consist of more than prayer and contemplation. If you do not strive for the virtues and practice them, you will always be dwarfs.

Have patience with yourself, the Lord does.

Through the centuries, the visible events of the Church's history are always prepared in the silent dialogues of souls consecrated with His Blood.

Many of these beginners ...feel an aversion toward adapting their will to God's. Hence they frequently believe that what is not their will, or brings them no satisfaction, is not God's will, and, on the other hand, that if they are satisfied, God is too. They measure God by themselves and not themselves by God...
