O Eternal Father, that You are blessed and glorious in Yourself is no cause for wonder. That all creatures are blessed and glorious through You is no cause for wonder. But that You communicate Yourself to, and take pleasure in, a creature so vile, this is a cause for wonder....

Let Christ crucified be enough for you, and with Him suffer and take your rest, and hence annihilate yourself in all inward and outward things.

He teaches during the brief moments we spend in prayer; however lukewarm these moments may be, God esteems them highly.

With regard to the fear about whether or not I was in the state of grace, He (Jesus) told me: "Daughter, light is very different from darkness. I am faithful. Nobody will be lost unknowingly. They who find security in spiritual favors will be deceived. True security is the testimony of a good conscience. But people should not think that through their own efforts they can be light or that they can do anything to prevent the night, because these states depend upon my grace. The best help for holding on to the light is to understand that you can do nothing and that it comes from me. For even though you may be in light, at the moment I withdraw, the night will come. This is true humility: to know what you can do and what I can do."

Why fear to offer yourself as a victim to God's Merciful Love? If it were to His Divine Justice you might have reason to fear, but the Merciful Love will have pity on your weakness and will treat you with tenderest mercy.

It is vital for individuals to make acts of love in this life so that in being perfected in a short time they may not be detained long, either here on earth or in the next life before seeing God.

There is no more urgent need than total surrender to God, putting oneself totally in his hands....If man were deeply penetrated by this truth, he would be totally absorbed in God.

There’s no need for us to be advising Him about what He should give us, for He can rightly tell us that we don’t know what we’re asking for.

Oh, if you knew how necessary suffering is so God's work can be done in the soul...

Neither skill nor knowledge is required to go to God, but just a heart determined to turn to Him only, to beat for Him only, and to love Him only.

The Savior hangs naked and destitute before you on the cross because he has chosen poverty...Gratefully receive what God's providence sends you. Joyfully do without what He may let you to do without.

That gaze of the soul at its Bridegroom inflames it with love. You can always look at Him. That sight of Jesus will bring you peace, if you are disturbed or exalted. It will fortify you, if you are cast down; it will bring you recollection, if you are dissipated.
