To be a child of God, that means to be led by the hand of God, to do the will of God, not one's own will, to place every care and every hope in the hand of God and not to worry about oneself or one's future. On this rests the joy of the child of God.

Ah, if you got to know Him a little, prayer wouldn't bore you any more; to me it seems to be rest, relaxation. We come quite simply to the One we love, stay close to Him like a little child in the arms of its mother, and we let our heart go....If you only knew how well he understands....You wouldn't suffer any more if you understood that.

Things were in God's plan which I had not planned at all. There is no wood like that of the Cross to kindle the fire of Jove in the soul, and Our Lord so wants to be loved, to find in the world … souls that are completely surrendered to Him and to His good pleasure … I tell you from Him that He thirsts for your soul.

Let us place our trust in God, let us place our trust in God who is so good and wills so much good for us. He will not abandon us, have no doubt about it.

When I accepted the fact that I might spend my life suffering from these troubles and anxieties-which in no way diminished the trust I had in God and served only to increase my faith-I found myself changed all at once. And my soul, until that time always in turmoil, experienced a deep inner peace as if it had found its center and place of rest.

Jesus has shown me the only way that leads to the fire of divine love: it is that of a little child who, full of trust, falls asleep in its father's arms.

You should voyage on the stormy sea of life with the abandonment and love of a child who knows that its father loves it and will not forsake it in the hour of danger.

Whoever lives in the presence of so good a friend and excellent a leader as is Jesus Christ can endure all things. Christ helps us and strengthens us and never fails; he is a true friend...What more do we desire from such a good friend at our side, who will not abandon us in our labors and tribulations, as friends in the world do. Blessed is the one who truly loves him and keeps him near.
