We must serve our Lord; sow what is good around us without worrying about its growth. For us the labors; for Jesus, success!

The meek are those who know how to suffer their neighbor and themselves.

He (God) lives in some as though in his own house, commanding and ruling everything; and in others as though a stranger in a strange house, where they do not permit him to give orders or do anything.

Oh, what a good friend You make, my Lord! How You proceed by favoring and enduring. You wait for others to adapt to Your nature, and in the meanwhile You put up with theirs!

O Savior, I shall buy You with my tears and obedience, with humility and charity, with sacrifices and with death, with the purest love of neighbor. And when I do, I shall buy You for those who see You.

Charity liberates the will from everything, imposing as a duty to love God above all else. This however is possible only when anxious desire for creatures is removed.

Never complain of anyone, but turn the complaints against yourself; because if you do not succeed in doing what you long to do, how can you complain if others fail?

When under the action of detachment and spiritual darkness, faith plants firm roots in the soul, hope and charity likewise flow into it; a charity that logically does not manifest itself by giving a sensation of sweetness, but rather by producing in the soul a strength, a more decisive courage, a vigor hitherto unknown.

God is compassionate and filled with gentleness, slow to punish and abundant in mercy, for He knows our frailty, He remembers we are dust.

When we have a friend in our home, we don't leave him alone; but from time to time, even when we are busy, we try to go to him to speak to him. Do the same with Jesus. In the beginning it will be hard to recollect yourself, but afterwards it will become habitual for you to be with God.

We should never fear the battle when the good of our neighbor is involved.

Let’s concern ourselves with our neighbor and with serving him, even though it may be repugnant to do so. In this way we’ll make sure that the throne of our heart is occupied by God our creator.
