The soul who places her hope in God has nothing to fear, because He will overcome all her obstacles and all her difficulties.

In the measure in which the God-man is known, one goes on loving Him with madness.  Id' like you to know this so you may truly fall in love with Him.  How can we not love that Jesus with all our soul?  He who is uncreated Beauty; He is eternal Wisdom; He is Goodness, Life, and Love.

What is the sacrifice? What is the Cross but heaven when Jesus Christ is on it? Give Him your will in such a way that you can no longer say "I want this," but I desire what He desires.

That day is lost when there are no struggles to overcome.

God is my heaven here below. I live with him. Even when I am walking, we speak together without being interrupted by anyone. If you would know him enough, you would love him. If you would stay with him for one hour, you would know heaven on earth.

Just as the angels in heaven incessantly sing His praises, so does a Carmelite echo those praises here on earth, whether near to the tabernacle where God who is Love lives imprisoned, or in the intimate depths of her soul's heaven, where faith tells her God dwells. Our vocation's objective is love, the greatest thing a human heart can possess.

Our Lord spent thirty years of His life in recollection and prayer.  He only spent three years evangelizing.  In heaven the occupation of our souls will be to adore and to love.  While here on earth let's begin the occupation we'll perform for all eternity.

Let them make the resolution of being all things to all, by sacrificing themselves for others without making a display of it. Let them renounce their comfort for others to win their hearts and lead them to God.

I am the happiest creature in the world. God is infinite joy.

A soul united to Jesus and identified with him can do everything. It seems to me that this can be reached only by prayer.

Never deny our Lord anything. The practice of the presence of God helps accomplish this goal especially by resolving to fulfill all your obligations during that hour perfectly, and by keeping in mind that the Will of God is perfectly fulfilled in that way.

How I pray that you will know and love God. Don't imagine you have to become a nun to do this. In the world there are souls who love and serve Him.
