I have understood that the thing that separates me most from God is my pride. I propose to be humble. Without humility the other virtues are hypocrisy. ... Humility gains us similarity to Christ, peace of soul, holiness and intimate union with God.

When you're suffering, look at Jesus. He is loving you with tenderness, because you are participating in his cross, in the cross He carried in His most divine Heart from Bethlehem to Calvary. Place yourself and everything around you in that Heart of Jesus. Lie abandoned to His holy Will. From that abandonment, oneness with God will be born.

I am happy and shall never cease to be so because I belong to my God. At every moment I find in him my heaven and an eternal and immutable love. I don't desire anything but him and this love grows in my soul inasmuch I see myself introduced in the bosom of his divine love and adorable perfections.

Is there anything good, beautiful or true that we can think of that would not be in Jesus?

A soul united to Jesus and identified with him can do everything. It seems to me that this can be reached only by prayer.

"Do you know the souls that most enjoy my Goodness?," said our Lord (to a chosen soul). "The ones who trust in me the most. Trusting souls are the ones who steal away my graces. I am all Love, and the greatest pain one can give my Heart is to doubt my Goodness."

How good Jesus is to give me His cross; thus can I show Him my love, and live in unending Communion with Him.

That day is lost when there are no struggles to overcome.

When a soul gives herself wholly to God He manifests Himself by letting the soul discover infinite horizons of love that will unite her most closely to Him.

The soul that has given itself to God must give itself completely, for love leaves nothing for itself. Let it be consumed entirely so that from these ashes only one person may rise: Christ. The creature is consumed in the divinity.

Suffering is not unknown to me. In it I find my joy, for on the Cross one finds Jesus and He is love. And what does suffering matter when one loves?

What is the sacrifice? What is the Cross but heaven when Jesus Christ is on it?  Give Him your will in such a way that you can no longer say "I want this," but I desire what He desires.
