O my God, if I might be made worthy to give my life for the good of souls and to put an end to all this malice, what a comfort this would be!

When it seems to you that the little bark of your soul is about to break, throw out into the sea of tribulation the anchor of hope and have confidence in the divine help. Have no fear that the most merciful God will allow himself to be surpassed by your confidence; He loves our souls so much that He gives much more than we ask of Him.

Take pains to be peaceful, but not with a certain kind of peace that never wishes to experience what war is; for to arrive at a true peace according to God, one must acquire it through its opposite.

Embrace the whole world in the bond of love and love all creatures always with pure charity, that is, without the least attachment or disordered affection, and only because God loves them and wants you to love them.

Be indifferent in all things; and let it be the same to you to do one thing as to do another, to have one office as to have another.

You will be consoled according to the greatness of your sorrow and affliction; the greater the suffering, the greater will be the reward.

Remember that you are in exile and therefore do not wish to act as if you were in your fatherland.

A work done without a feeling of pleasure is more pleasing to God than many others done with great delight and feeling. Therefore, when you find yourself in a state of dryness and depression, be glad and exult that God has deigned to give you those greater gifts and sweetest viands that He is wont to offer to those who are dearer to Him and more beloved by Him.

May He Who by coming upon Mary caused the Word to be Incarnate...do in us by grace what He did in her by nature.

...You (Jesus) crown the intense desire to do a work, where there is no possibility of doing it, more than a work done without the desire. And if Your work will not be accomplished, it will not be for this reason, that is not Your will, but because there is not the proper disposition in creatures, or generous hearts to do it, as would be necessary...

O Mary, anyone who looks at you is comforted in any anxiety or tribulation or pain, and is victorious over any temptation. Anyone who does not know something about God, let him have recourse to you, O Mary.

The cataracts of heaven are always open to send down grace, but we do not have the mouth of our desire open to receive it.
