My heart with ardent longings

Awaits my Well-Beloved

I ask of heaven and all created things

Where the Loved One dwells.

And all reply: You'll find Him

In the straight and humble heart.

Oh! Thought of Him so strong!

Oh! His looks, all Love and Mercy.

My God, in spite of all my misereres and since, I will always hope in You. Even if You cast me into hell, I will still hope in You.

Holy Spirit, inspire me. Love of God, consume me. On the true path, lead me. Mary, my Mother, look down upon me. With Jesus, bless me. From all evil, from all illusion, from all danger, preserve me.

The proud person is like a grain of wheat thrown into water: it swells, it gets big. Expose that grain to the fire: it dries up, it burns. The humble soul is like a grain of wheat thrown into the earth: it descends, it hides itself, it disappears, it dies; but to revive in heaven.

I invited the whole earth to bless you, to serve you. Forever and always, never to end! I invited the entire sea to bless you, to serve you. Forever and always, never to end! I called him, invited ungrateful man, to bless you, to serve you, to praise and to love you, forever and always, never to end.

Always remember to love your neighbor; always prefer the one who tries your patience, who tests your virtue, because with her you can always merit: suffering is love; the Law is love.

Everyone, in the world, or in religion, who has devotion to the Holy Spirit and who invokes Him, will not die in error.

My God, no one has sinned as I. And therefore do I rejoice and hope much, for the extent of Your mercy will be all the more clearly seen in me.

God is ready to pardon a sinner who humbles himself. He looks with more love on a soul who returns to Him in Humility, than on a faithful soul who finds pleasure in its virtues.

Source of peace and light, come and enlighten me. I am hungry, come and feed me; thirsty, come and refresh me; blind, come and give me sight; poor, come and enrich me;ignorant, come and instruct me. Holy Spirit, I abandon myself to You.

There is a joy to be found in suffering when one thinks of eternal happiness.
